We have loads of fun awaiting you this Thursday at the Village's annual "Old-fashioned" Ice Cream Social.
A group from the Program Committee got a behind-the-scenes tour of the decorations that C.B. Wooldridge, also known as our Master of Fun, has prepared. (Pictured left to right, are Deb Neve, Nadia Taran, Binney Levine, Lorna Grenadier, Jackie Lemire and C.B. Wooldridge.)
The Village gathers for this annual summer event to celebrate from 4 to 6 pm on Thursday, August 10, at St. Paul's Church. Join us and get to know our newest members. You can also connect with old friends and talk with other Villagers and volunteers that you may not know.
GuestsWe're also hoping to meet some new people in the neighborhood, so please invite a friend or neighbor to come along and learn more about membership and volunteer opportunities.
Ice Cream and Toppings The Village will supply the ice cream, and participants are asked to bring an ice cream topping, of their choice, to share. Sugar-free ice cream and fresh fruit also are on the menu.
Fun Lorna Grenadier will be out Mistress of Ceremonies, with a few "getting to know you" games and other activities. There will be lots of time for you to connect with old friends, talk with Villagers and volunteers you may not know.
Door PrizesWe have those, too. This event promises to be a summer spectacular that you won't want to miss.
Registration Open to Members, Volunteers, and their guests. It's not too late to register, but please do so by tomorrow, Tuesday Aug. 8, so that we can plan for you.
